Vintage Racing
Vintage racing – this is what all the hard work and sleepless nights are about.
We at RC Speed & Paint are about performance and bringing reproductions of the great racing legends back on to the tracks across North America and Europe where they belong.
2010 was an amazing year. We ran the BBC Mongoose Motorsports #2 coupe several times at local race events and managed to get 4 FTDs, first, and several podium finishes in the vintage class.
The car handled phenomenally well and had lots of oversteer thanks to a heavy right foot and cold tires. We dialed the car in almost instantly and it was difficult for the competition to run with us, especially on the big straight-aways.
We took lots of in car and outside car video in 2010 – you can see them in our video gallery. We missed the Edmonton 2010 Indy vintage event, but we are planning to compete in the 2011 Edmonton Indy and MoSport in Ontario.
2011 will be our first year of competition with the RC Speed & Paint IMSA “RCGT” Widebody C3 Corvette (more downforce and more horsepower). We can’t wait to unload this car in 2011. Stay tuned for photos and video.
You need a great car to race, even in an exhibition/vintage class, but more importantly, you need great friends. I want to pay thanks to my great friends for all their help and inspiration:
